Day 1: Inca Q’eswachaka Bridge, Last Inca Bridge
We begin with your pickup at 4:00 a.m. from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel south along the road to the Canas province, enjoying the view of Pomacanchi Lake and the enigmatic Urcos lagoon, where it is said that the last Inca ordered all the gold of the Empire to be brought to protect it from the Spanish. We will also visit the Pabellones volcano with its striking presence and the mountain pass of the same name.
Upon arriving at “Q’eswachaka” (Qeshuachaca), we will explore its ancestral bridge, a legacy of a millennial tradition that encompasses art, architecture, and culture in the Andean world.
