We will get your Inca trail trek permit as soon as possible after having received your trek deposit. The trek permit includes details of your name and passport number and your departure date. The government authorities will not allow us to change these details after we have bought the permit. If we have a student trek permit for you then you must take your valid ISIC card on the trek. If you renew your passport AFTER we have purchased the permit then you ensure that you also bring your old passport with you on the trek. If you are unable to meet with these requirements you will not be allowed to start the trek and we will consider your trek booking to be a “cancellation of the trek by the client” (see trek terms and condition on our website) and you will not receive a refund. If you lose your passport or your student card, then you won’t be able to start the trek and you won’t receive a refund. Only in certain circumstances, given enough time, we can make a special application to the government authorities to update your trek permit. We use your deposit (non-refundable) to pay the basic fees to make your reservation official. These fees include entry tickets to reserve space, porters (non-refundable by national law), and a government tax of 18%.
In regards to hotel reservations, we are required to pay penalties for cancellation depending on the date.
