Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVE TO CUSCO

Arrival to the city of Cusco, transfer from the airport to your hotel. Depending on the time of arrival. You will have a tour of the city of Cusco by the historic streets, Coricancha (the temple of the sun that keeps an imposing Inca architecture), the Cathedral of Cusco which is a colonial architectural marvel and Art.

DAY 2: CHINCHERO MORAY -SALT MINE-AGUASCALIENTES

This day we head out to find marvelous place in this region of the sacred valley of the incas.  shortly after living Cusco, we’ll stop at the view point; we’ll have panoramic views of the jumbled red roofs of the colonial city spread out for below. our first stop is in the lovely high Andean village of CHINCHERO. we visit a textile corporation and learn more about the weaving tradition that have been passed down among the local people for centuries. Here you have the opportunity to see daily life and relationship. Then we will continue to The Inca Terraces of Moray, at the Inca laboratory that was looking to re-create 20 different microclimates and secure the agricultural production of the empire. Continue towards the Village of Maras, tour of the famous and ancient salt mines, which still are exploited since immemorial times. The contrast between the white wells and the clayey land makes this landscape into a place not to be missed for taking pictures. Lunch. In the afternoon, we get the last Inca living village of Ollantaytambo. At the proper time, embark from the village train station to arrive at the town of Machu Picchu, located at the foot of the mountain. Overnight stay in the area.

DAY 3: EXPLORING MACHU PICCHU -OLLANTAYTAMBO

Machu Picchu is the most important site in our tour. We suggest waking up to get on one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu. These buses are all first come, first serve and begin at 5:30 a.m. Once we get up to the citadel, your tour guide will bring you to a great spot to watch the sunrise over the mountains, weather permitting. Following, you will begin your two-hour tour around the complex. After you tour, you will have some time to wander on your own through these ancient ruins (with the options of climbing Huayna Picchu – (this is a separate entrance ticket and costs $75 per person), or climb up to the Sun Gate. Both options have breathtaking views. After you have taken in all of Machu Picchu, you will return to Aguas Calientes on your own by park buses, and enjoy some lunch in the town, before boarding your train to Ollantaytambo. Once you arrive our representative will be pick you up take to your hotel in Ollantaytambo Spend the night in this mysterious place it is really nice.

DAY 4: OLLANTAYTAMBO-PISAQ-SAQSAHUAMAN

On these days we continue with our nice experience to see the other side of sacred valley, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to The Sacred Valley of the Incas receives us in this day. Our first stop will be at the inka site of Pisac, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley. From the top of the mountain there is a great view of the colonial village of Pisac. After this we continue to visit one of the famous archeological sites of Sacsayhuaman from this site there is a great view all the Cusco City.

DAY 5: HOTEL -AERPORT

Transfer from the Hotel to the Airport.

Travel Recommendations:

  • Pack as light as possible, as there are no porters on this trek.
  • Bring important documents with you, such as your passport, valid student ID (if applicable), and migration card.
  • Carry a small, lightweight backpack for the journey.
  • Remember to bring a water reservoir, such as Camelbags, with a capacity of at least 2-3 liters.
  • Wear comfortable and lightweight hiking boots with good soles.
  • Don’t forget to include toiletries in your checklist, such as sunscreen, facial moisturizer, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste, toilet paper, personal medication, and a first aid kit.
  • Take into account the backpack size restrictions within Machu Picchu, backpacks larger than 25 liters will not be allowed.
  • Don’t forget to bring a sun hat, rain gear, wool hat, camera, music, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and a small plastic bag for waste.
  • Bring extra money for souvenirs, drinks, and tips.
  • Consider bringing earplugs for a better rest during the trip.
